Doraemon Collection Part 2: V.4-6 (3 Dvd set)
We all know that Doraemon, robot cat from the future, is worth watching. This DVD edition, though, has a unique flavor. While Doraemon, the robot cat from the future, is undeniably Japanese in origin, this DVD is right from Hong Kong.
There is no indication on the package that it is legitimate or licensed. Production value is decent; it looks sharp, but has an amazing echo in the soundtrack. Thankfully, the dialogue is left in Japanese, with English and Chinese subtitles available. The subtitles may be the best part: while Doreamon is translated as "Dola A Dream", which may be understandable, we were amazed to see old Nobita called "Daxiong". Various curse words are rendered as "boring" in the subtitles, Other strangenesses include email addresses@hotmail.com showing up from time to time.
