Music:
Record Shoppin With Oog
Tom Waits pleased all of us back in 1985 when he released "Rain Dogs". This record is what many listeners consider to be at the fulcrum of his career. No more cds of pseudo-lounge crooning about being drunk. On this album Waits begins his ascent into the astral realm of eccentric god-like songwriters that could be your grandfather. Highlights include what is easily one of the best songs Waits has ever written, "Jockey full of Bourbon," the Waits voice showcase "Big Black Mariah," and beat poet-esque soundscapes "9th and Hennepin" and "Walking Spanish".
On Island Records, this cd is difficult to find new for a decent price, and it is also equally unlikely to be discovered abandoned in some used cd store somewhere. Either way, it's worth whatever effort you put into finding it.

Books:
Olive

Movies:
Julian donkey boy
If you ask me what is the movie that is personal,
experimental and white-trashy?
I would answer Harmony Korine's movies.
Julian is a schizophrenic boy. Acting in his mom's place
sometimes is his sister, Trying to be a wrestler
is his brother, and coaching for him is Julian's father.
There's also Blind girl, and man with no arms... This movie
portraying about life with freaky individuals. It is not idealized at all, and may bring
you the vivid reality in front of your eyes. If you are
preparing for being swayed, anyway it makes you sway
when you see the characters are rebelling from the
vulgar world. I guess because of that it must be such
a complex process to have a coarse-textured film's
poetical nature contrary to blunt truth...
Harmony Korine made "Gummo" too, Korine magic
turned the white trash world into a splendid one.
His movie is not to be made light of because of being
a stylish movie. It is quite deep. Also, it lets the hazy stone
become more hazy.

Objects:
Honda Dirtbikes
In the early 1950s, the Honda Motor Company built a themepark, and one of the attractions were miniature motorcycles. The kids riding these looked so monkeylike, and the models were so successful that they were actually launched as products named "Monkey".

As time went on, these became very popular; they reached their peak in the 70s, especially among the dirtbike crowd. One of these models, the DAX (because it looks like a dachshund) was small enough to put in the rear of a car, while still being large enough for an adult. The DAX was released in America as the CT70, and continued production until the early 90s, when it was eclipsed by ATVs and miniature enduro bikes.
DAX had a big brother, the Hunter Cub, which featured an 89cc engine, fullsize wheels, and a rear seat. These were known as the "Trail 90" in America, and their slightly larger sibling, the CT110 or Trail 110 is still used in Australia for delivering mail. These "postie" bikes are often heavily modified for performance by fans. All of these old Honda's now enjoy a cult following. They are inexepensive, easy to maintain, and have a style which is no longer sold new for any price. Why don't you find one of your own?
