TullyCraft - Beat Surf Fun
The cover image of surfing on longboards does little to reveal what lies
within. Far some surf music, we have grade-A Tweepop, including a song
called Twee, just to prove it. This band of slotcar enthusiasts are doing
all they can to breathe new life into the Seattle indie music scene, and its
working. The warm recording of the album almost lets you feel the sunshine of the amplifiers battling with the dank grey outside; this is 2pm (as opposed to 2am) music. Just what the doctor ordered for Sunday afternoon beernaps or driving out to the foothills for the first spring picnic.

安定した生活。悪くはない響きなのだが、続きすぎると
冒険したくなっちまうのが人間の性分ってもの。一度そ
んな気分になってしまうと、職場へ向かう足ももつれぎみなら、
ボスのお小言も耳には全く入ってこない。ここで思いきって何もかも捨て
、旅に出れたらいいものの、人間これまた「分別もついて歳をとったり」
しているとそうもいかない。たーまーらーなーい、このきもち。
「こんな気持ちを抱えたままじゃあ、アタシ、狂っちゃうかも」とちらりよぎる不安。
そんなとき、とりあえず応急処置として使えるのが日本の旅本の古典、
沢木耕太郎の「深夜特急」シリーズだ。著者26才のときの日本からロンドンに向かう旅路を
綴った冒険小説なのだが、もう、ほんとに冒険しちゃってるよ沢木さん、ってカンジである。
特に第三巻インド・ネパール編。やわな冒険心を萎えさせる描写多数。（萎えさせてどーする！）
けど、あーらフシギ、読後感はすっきり。たまらん気持ちがなんとなくポジティブになっている。
さ、明日からまた真面目に働きつつ、旅の計画でも練ろうかねー。

映画 - Movies:
Dogtown and Z-boys
Directed by Stacy Peralta, 2001
The ripping guitar of Sabbath's "Paranoid" perfectly compliments some of the most exciting surf footage I have ever seen.
These waves aren't huge, but they are pushing a team through a pier, piles of broken concrete, slag, and rebar. This is dogtown, a dangerous secret surfspot near Venice, CA.
Dogtown and Z-boys chronicles the ragtag surf team who developed their skills here, and later, transferred these skills to the sidewalks, and invented a multi-million dollar industry on the side. The birth of extreme vertical skating is directly traceable to a very small group of young riders, and this documentary traces their story which has gone untold for 30 years too long.
Directed by Stacey Peralta, (of Powell Peralta Skateboard company), this documentary features mostly closeups of photographs, but plenty of live-action vintage footage of Tony Alva and others who started the revolution.
Who would have thought that drought-induced swimming pools would take a crew of stoners and make (some of them) into superstars...
Some will argue that since the filmmakers are themselves the subject matter, this story is biased (and this is probably true), but it doesn't matter. The incredible soundtrack, the excellent footage, and the ripping good story make it worthwhile viewing.

師も走る師走ですよ。忙しい時に持ってこいのグッズをご紹介。
これ、中に描かれた人物のプロファイルをケースを振りながら作るゲーム。
読み返しても、全く意味が通じてないことは明確なので、
もう少し説明を。ケースの中に人の横顔が描かれております。オデコのところから
首のところまで一本の鎖がタランとつながっておる訳です。その鎖部分で横顔形成。
ケースをシャカシャカさせては「あらら、こんな顔になったよ、ぷぷ、不細工だね〜」
とつぶやく、、、そういうゲームです。地味です。ローです。
暇つぶしというより心に余裕がないと遊べないという噂も。
